Lighting Fixtures in Shihezi City, Xinjiang, Illuminate Plaza Nightscape After Repairs

Recently, the Shihezi City Gardening and Greening Maintenance Center in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region launched a special inspection and improvement campaign for plaza lighting facilities, conducting a comprehensive inspection and rectification of the lighting systems in the Military Reclamation Plaza, Music Plaza, Leisure Plaza, and 1949 Plaza.

This inspection adopted a point-by-point inspection, categorized rectification, and precise maintenance approach. The focus was on various types of lights, including octagonal lights, Chinese-style lights, four-headed lights, Y-shaped lights, kerosene lamps, disc lights, and floodlights. The inspection covered circuit safety, light source illuminance, and lamp stability. Simultaneously, aging parts were replaced, accumulated dust and stains were cleaned, and projection angles were corrected to comprehensively eliminate safety hazards and ensure illuminance standards, stable operation, and harmonious landscape, achieving a dual improvement in functional lighting and landscape illumination.

It is reported that more than 200 lights will be replaced after this inspection, with the projected completion time being approximately one week. After the lighting inspection and renovation are completed, the plaza's nightscape will be completely transformed, with interplay of light and shadow and an elegant environment, becoming a popular spot for citizens to relax, exercise, and stroll. Many citizens expressed their heartfelt appreciation, noting that the square's lighting is bright and clear, the scenery is more beautiful, travel is safer, and resting is more comfortable, significantly enhancing the city's livability and allowing them to truly feel the happiness brought about by improved livelihoods.

The head of the landscaping and maintenance center stated that the next step will be to establish routine inspections, periodic maintenance, and meticulous management of the lighting facilities to continuously optimize the quality of nighttime lighting. They also advocated that citizens appreciate and protect the lighting facilities in a civilized manner, jointly safeguarding the city's nighttime landscape, empowering the construction of an ecologically livable environment through meticulous management, and continuously improving the public's sense of well-being and the city's overall quality.
