Lighting Project in Dahebei Village, Jingzhou, Hubei Province

It is understood that the five groups of roads in Dahebei Village previously lacked lighting facilities, resulting in poor visibility at night. This caused great inconvenience for villagers' daily walks, their return home at night, and for vehicle traffic, posing significant road safety hazards and representing a long-standing and pressing issue for the villagers.

The people's needs must be met. To effectively ensure the safety of villagers' travel and improve the livability of the village, the Dahebei Village Committee took the initiative and, after collective discussion, decided to fully fund the road lighting upgrade project. The project was implemented to high standards and with strict control throughout. Staff conducted on-site surveys of road conditions, scientifically planned streetlight locations, standardized construction, and rigorous testing and acceptance. They closely monitored every detail to ensure that every streetlight was precisely placed in locations where residents needed it most, effectively ensuring their well-being.

This streetlight improvement project is a vivid example of Dahebei Village's ongoing commitment to improving people's lives and its dedication to serving the people. Previously, the village had installed 98 streetlights along 5.1 kilometers of main roads, including Datang Highway and the Eighth Group Road, creating a safe passageway. To date, the village has installed a total of 133 streetlights, illuminating a total distance of 6.9 kilometers, achieving full coverage of main roads and key village roads, effectively addressing the "gap" in rural lighting.
