Village Lighting Improvement in Xingzi Town

To effectively address the difficulties faced by residents in nighttime travel, Xingzi Town in Lushan City, Jiujiang, Jiangxi Province, recently focused on people's needs and installed or repaired streetlights in key areas such as main and secondary roads, residential areas, and village squares. This initiative aims to address shortcomings in rural infrastructure and improve the rural living environment.

Previously, some village roads in Xingzi Town lacked adequate nighttime lighting, with old and damaged streetlights and numerous blind spots, posing safety hazards for residents traveling at night. In response, Xingzi Town included the village lighting project in its annual list of key livelihood projects, actively seeking funding and coordinating the project's implementation.

This lighting project was precisely targeted and implemented in batches according to the actual needs of each village. Shengli Village installed 76 new streetlights, Fanshen Village and Liaohua Village each installed 31, and Xingfu Village installed 26, covering the main areas where residents travel and engage in daily activities. The project utilizes energy-saving, environmentally friendly, and easy-to-maintain solar-powered LED streetlights. Equipped with intelligent light-sensing capabilities, these lights automatically turn on at dusk and off at dawn, requiring no external power supply. They are green, low-carbon, and have low maintenance costs, perfectly suited to the routine needs of rural areas. The new streetlights stand neatly along village roads, providing uniform and stable illumination, ensuring the safety of villagers traveling at night and improving the overall appearance of the villages.

Next, Xingzi Town will establish a routine streetlight inspection and maintenance mechanism to regularly check and repair faulty facilities, ensuring the long-term operation of the lighting project. Simultaneously, the town will continue to focus on addressing the urgent needs and concerns of the residents, improving rural infrastructure, and enhancing governance and services. Through the effective implementation of these practical measures, the town will steadily promote the construction of livable, business-friendly, and beautiful villages, continuously enhancing the residents' sense of gain and satisfaction.
