Lighting System Upgrade Completed at Aksu Station, Xinjiang

Recently, many passengers have noticed that the platform lighting at Aksu Station in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, managed by the Aksu Depot of China Railway Urumqi Group Co., Ltd., has become significantly brighter. This improvement is the result of the Aksu Building Workshop under the Korla Property Apartment Section of China Railway Urumxi Group Co., Ltd. replacing the light sources, upgrading all 159 old platform lights to new LED fixtures.

Lighting System Upgrade Completed at Aksu Station, Xinjiang

Aksu Station is a key hub on the Southern Xinjiang Railway, serving over 10,000 passengers daily. The station's original lighting equipment, having been in use for an extended period, suffered from issues such as aging fixtures and dim illumination. Particularly at night, insufficient lighting in certain areas increased the risk of trips and falls for passengers. To address this hazard, the Aksu Building Workshop assembled a dedicated team of technical experts to carry out a comprehensive upgrade of the platform's lighting system.

Song Zhicheng, Deputy Director of the Aksu Building Workshop, Korla Property Apartment Section, explained that the new fixtures use LED light sources, which are approximately 40% brighter than the old ones. Additionally, the light distribution is more uniform, clearly illuminating step edges and blind spots, thereby significantly improving nighttime visibility.
