Luminus launches two new UV-C LEDs

Luminus intends to use these two new UV-C LEDs for medical and health and comfort products. One of the 350 mA standard size 3535 surface-mount emitters has a peak output power of up to 60 mW; the second ultra-small emitter size is 1.3 mm*1.3 mm*0.85 mm, which provides 3 mW of power at 20 mA. Provides 11 mW of peak output at 100 mA.

Stephane Bellosguardo, vice president of marketing for Luminus special lighting, said: “The air, surface and water disinfection markets will see a lot of new products and new product categories in the next 36 months. Just as the computer industry is driven by smaller and faster processors, similar to ours. 1313 Air and water purification products such as UV-C LEDs will also promote innovation in the lighting market."

The new 3535 and 1313 UV-C LEDs from Luminus this time provide a 280 nm light source for disinfection and sterilization.

Bellosguardo revealed: "The industrial applications based on UV LED have grown rapidly, which also shows that our invisible special lighting products and infrared emitter market will become more and more important."
