More Than 6,000 New LED Streetlights in Wuchuan County, Zunyi, Guizhou

As night falls, Wuchuan Gelao and Miao Autonomous County in Zunyi, Guizhou Province, puts on a "brighter outfit." Over 6,000 brand-new smart streetlights illuminate main roads, side streets, and back alleys, injecting vitality into the city’s nights and eliminating concerns for residents traveling after dark. The warmth of the city continues to glow in the light.

Around 7 p.m., Minzu West Road in the old urban area of Wuchuan is bathed in a warm, gentle glow. The new smart streetlights line the road in neat rows, casting soft yet clear and even light onto the pavement, making the patterns of the sidewalk tiles clearly visible. Pedestrians stroll along the illuminated streets, while vehicles pass steadily under the light. The entire stretch exudes peace and comfort.

"The streetlights on this road were replaced over a month ago. Before the replacement, the road was very dim. Now, it’s much brighter, and walking feels safer," said Wu Lijun, a resident who has run an eyewear shop on Minzu West Road for 20 years. He is deeply moved by this new change.

The transformation of Hebin South Road in Wuchuan’s new urban area is equally heartening. Once a somewhat desolate stretch due to insufficient lighting, the road is now bright and clear under the new streetlights-clean and tidy, with the greenery on both sides distinctly outlined. Nearby residents taking evening strolls and middle school students walking home after school move through this well-lit area with a strong sense of security and reassurance.
