Previously, insufficient nighttime lighting on the road before the school gate posed hazards to pedestrians and vehicles. To advance refined urban governance, Nanning Municipal Bureau of Municipal Administration and Landscape Gardens arranged the Nanning Urban Lighting Service Center (hereinafter referred to as the Municipal Lighting Center) to launch a special rectification targeting this issue. The center quickly dispatched teams for on-site surveys, formulated renovation plans and pushed forward construction efficiently. The two newly installed triple-lamp floodlights have been put into operation post-adjustment, resolving the inadequate illumination problem along the road segment.

Since the start of this year, the Municipal Lighting Center has prioritized lighting services around school campuses. Combined with rectification work addressing conflicts between street lamps and tree canopies, the center has carried out comprehensive inspections and renovations. A multi-pronged approach has been adopted to supplement lighting precisely and further upgrade the nighttime environment surrounding schools. Up to now, a total of 34 light fixtures have been added to roads adjacent to schools including Nanning No.34 High School and Tiantao Experimental School Dongge Campus.

Meanwhile, the center has pushed forward sidewalk purification efforts: six street lamps occupying road space near campuses were relocated. In coordination with the Municipal Greening Management Center, overhanging tree branches blocking light fixtures were trimmed. The center also actively coordinated with property management entities to provide technical guidance, supporting repairs for malfunctioning street lamps on 17 untransferred campus surrounding roads such as Guiling Road and Sanding Road.

Going forward, the Municipal Lighting Center will continue to address residents’ most pressing concerns. Regular inspections and renovations of lighting facilities will be maintained alongside improved operation and maintenance mechanisms. Through refined management and tangible measures, a safe and brightly lit nighttime urban environment will be created.
