Paris Metro will become the first LED lighting transport network in the world

　　RER ( regional express railway , also known as fast Region iron ) is the commuter rail network in France and France islands , through Paris and neighboring areas. RER is a hybrid system , compiled and modern city center metro rail and the inherent characteristics of the region .

　　Paris RATP public transport organizations and ENELTEC have signed a four-year contract totaling 11 million euros in total , they will work together to complete the Paris rapid rail network transport system (RER) containing 302 Metro CCP stations and 66 suburban stations of 250,000 LED lights transformation.

　　After this lighting upgrade , will be about one million square meters of space illuminated LED lights, including the station entrance , ticket hall , corridors and platforms. Paris rapid transit system transporting rail network around 12 million passengers a day , the project will achieve a 15% reduction in its energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions in 2004 to 2020 , to reduce energy consumption by about 12%.
