Streetlights Renewed on Multiple Urban Roads in Qidong County, Hengyang, Hunan
Recently, the Urban Streetlight Management Office of Qidong County, Hengyang City, Hunan Province has targeted insufficient lighting on main roads, areas surrounding schools and old alleyways. It has carried out upgrading and new installation of streetlights on multiple urban road sections to fully reinforce the safety barrier for nighttime traffic.
The original streetlights along Qingshan Road suffered from aging and dim light, stopped operating after midnight, and left numerous lighting blind zones. The office completed special upgrading works by replacing 29 high-power lamp heads that operate all night, and additionally installing 2 solar-powered all-night streetlight poles and 6 wall-mounted solar all-night streetlights. Lighting conditions have been greatly improved after renovation, effectively responding to proposals from deputies to the People's Congress and public demands.
Yingbin Road is adjacent to schools with heavy pedestrian and vehicle flow. Insufficient illumination of the original lights brought relatively high risks of nighttime safety accidents. After replacing 31 new lamp heads, the visibility of road surface lighting has been markedly enhanced, effectively lowering accident risks and safeguarding the travel safety of teachers and students. Yongchang Avenue bears heavy traffic, where the office replaced 360 LED energy-saving light sources for decorative streetlights in batches. The new light sources deliver even illumination while maintaining the original color tone. They guarantee safe nighttime travel and cut power consumption, realizing the organic integration of safety improvement, energy conservation and efficiency gains.
Adjacent to schools, Mazhu Alley sees heavy pedestrian flow. The narrow alley cannot be accessed by fire engines, making traditional wiring infeasible. The office installed 6 all-night solar streetlights, precisely addressing the lack of lighting and ensuring safe nighttime travel for local residents and students.
