Technical Guidelines for Intelligent Control Operation of Highway Tunnel Lighting Released

Recently, the local standard "Guidelines for Highway Tunnel Lighting Intelligent Control Operation Technology" (DB 61/ T 1693-2023) was approved and officially released to the industry, and will be implemented from June 25, 2023. This standard is the first intelligent control basis for highway tunnel lighting in our province, filling the gap in technical specifications for intelligent control operation of highway tunnel lighting.

The "Technical Guidelines for Highway Tunnel Lighting Intelligent Control Operation" standard establishes the general principles of road tunnel lighting intelligent control operation, and provides technical guidance and suggestions for its technical conditions, lighting condition control and methods, lighting control strategies, and lighting intelligent management and control platform. Intelligent lighting operation management and control for currently operating, newly built, renovated (expanded) highway tunnels.

The formulation of the "Guidelines for Highway Tunnel Lighting Intelligent Control Operation Technology" standard is based on the analysis of the current tunnel lighting operation status in Shaanxi Province, with maturity, advancement, and forward-looking as the guiding direction, and reliable control technology is included in the standard to meet the safety of tunnel lighting On the premise of energy saving, we will effectively improve the intelligent level of highway tunnel operation safety and energy-saving management in our province, guide the intelligent construction and management of highway tunnel lighting in our province, and benefit the operation, maintenance and management of the intelligent lighting system of highway tunnels in the later stage. It is of great significance to reduce the impact of later reconstruction and expansion on traffic safety and energy conservation and to achieve sustainable and high-quality development of highways.
