The city of Oceanside in US installing 7700 LED street lights

The city of Oceanside in California' of US, recently installed 7700 GE LED street lamps, which can be controlled simultaneous through the LightGrid controlling system .

The newly installed lamps are expected to save $600000 a year for the cost of maintenance and electricity, and achieve the reduction of 1.7 million pounds of CO2 emissions, which is equivalent of taking 150 cars from roads or new 200 acres of forest land.
