The energy-saving renovation project of lighting facilities in Dongjing Town, Songjiang District, Shanghai has started

At present, most of the light sources in Dongjing Town are high-pressure sodium lamps. These lamps have the disadvantages of high energy consumption, short service life, and dim light efficiency. The newly replaced LED lights take into account both energy saving and brightness enhancement, and have obvious advantages in energy saving, environmental protection, reliability, and durability. Through modification, the power saving rate is expected to reach 65%, while also reducing maintenance and repair costs.

This renovation project mainly involves 22 roads in the town. A total of 1,013 lamps have been removed and 1,037 new street lamps have been installed; 48 new garden light poles have been erected; 38 new 8-meter single-fork steel pole street lamps have been erected; 1 base of forked steel pole street lamps; 2 bases of new 9-meter double forked steel pole street lamps; 15 control boxes were dismantled and 16 new street light control boxes were installed.

Recently, on Caijiabang Road (the section east of Tongle Road), construction workers were methodically excavating street light foundations and cable trenches. Since this year, Dongjing Town has accelerated the energy-saving renovation of road lighting and is expected to complete the energy-saving renovation of road lighting facilities within the year.
