The output value of automotive LEDs in 2021 is estimated to reach 3.51 billion U.S. dollars
According to TrendForce's "2020-2021 Global Automotive LED Product Trends and Regional Market Analysis" research, the global penetration rate of LED headlights will exceed 60% in 2021, and the penetration rate of new energy vehicles will reach more than 90%. With the dual growth momentum of increased shipments in the auto market and the penetration rate of LED lighting, it is estimated that the global automotive LED market output value will reach 3.51 billion US dollars in 2021, with an annual growth rate of 31.8%, showing that LED headlights and automotive displays LED products are still the main driving force for the growth of the automotive LED market.
In addition, although the shortage of automotive semiconductors has caused some car manufacturers to block their production, according to TrendForce's survey, because car manufacturers require LED manufacturers to continue production, the orders of major automotive LED manufacturers have not been affected by the end of 2021. In the 2021 revenue ranking of automotive LED manufacturers, the top three manufacturers are still Ams-OSRAM (Ams-OSRAM), Nichia (Nichia), and Lumileds, with a combined market share of 71.7%.
In terms of automotive lighting, Ams Osram, with its stable product quality, excellent light efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, has made global high-end cars and new energy vehicles the first choice for suppliers, including Tesla, which has increased its sales volume, as its customer. This year, Ams Osram's automotive LED revenue has also shown rapid growth, with a chance to reach 1.304 billion US dollars, with an annual growth rate of about 40.9%.
