The Southwest River Pedestrian Bridge in Zhifu District, Yantai is ready to light up

The reporter learned that the municipal maintenance center of Yantai City Management Bureau is responsible for the southwestern part of Yantai’s “most beautiful overpass”. Over 2,000 beacon lights have been installed on the pedestrian crossing over the river, and it will bloom gorgeously after being powered on.

At noon on the 26th, the reporter came to the Xinanhe pedestrian overpass. There were three lift trucks under the bridge, and the construction workers were working on the lift trucks. Some of them are putting waterproof glue on the shield, and some are pulling cables for the flyover lights. The construction personnel on the bridge deck are also "dividing into two paths." Some are cutting and installing guard plates, and some are polishing the railings. The overpass guardrails are painted light blue, which looks very fresh, while the bridge deck is yellow and orange, full of vitality.

The project manager of the Southwest River Crossing Overpass told the reporter that more than 2,000 lights were installed on the overpass, including about 1,000 wall washer lights, 1,000 handrail lights, and 174 floodlights. After the cable connection is successful, the lights will bloom.

"More than 2,000 lamps are selected from light sources with good seismic performance, long life, and low power consumption to meet the problem of light source life in the tremor environment on the bridge." The project manager said, "The lighting fixtures must ensure personal safety and equipment operation safety. It is required that the protection level of the electrical safety class is not less than IP65. The water pattern lamp, wall washer lamp, and flood light are all fixed by supporting brackets."

From the perspective of the renderings, after the overall “light up” of the overpass, the design takes “water” as the entry point for the bird’s-eye view visually, constructing the water veins of light on the land and creating a continuous overall intertwined sense of cross-section; while in the pedestrian vision, the light is blue Mainly, the inner side of the turntable will be equipped with water pattern lights and LED linear lights, which are projected inward, which can change slowly, looking like water waves on the sea.

"These more than 2,000 lights will show the morphological characteristics of the bridge, highlight the beauty of the bridge's architecture through the creation of light and shadow, and create an ambiguous and elegant night landscape." The project manager told the reporter that LED projections were set at the bottom of the arch pillars on the upper part of the flyover. Lights are projected to highlight the arch shape at night; while the bridge adopts customized integrated handrail lights to provide functional lighting, a certain light and shadow effect is formed on the bridge surface; LED linear wall washer lights are installed on the outside of the bridge to wash and brighten the bridge The external facade of the abdomen forms a gradual light and shadow effect; the top of the bridge column is equipped with an LED floodlight to project downwards, highlighting the texture of the bridge column and forming a textured gradual effect. The inner side of the turntable of the overpass will be equipped with water pattern lights, and through the control changes, the light and shadow artistic effects of water waves will be formed.

The design concept of the Southwest River Crossing Flyover is "ribbon", inspired by the starting point of the "Maritime Silk Road" in Yantai. The overall shape is taken from the dance of the ribbon, and the shape of the ribbon and the waves are extracted and reshaped, and integrated into the bridge structure. Through contemporary architectural means, a sky garden with fluent shapes and abundant space is formed. The combination of lighting will express this design concept more vividly.
