Two revised versions of national standards involve road and indoor lighting

Recently, according to the China Academy of Building Research Co., Ltd., the national standards "Technical Requirements for Application of LED Urban Road Lighting" and "Technical Requirements for LED Indoor Lighting Application" revised by the company have been completed and released to the public for comments.

Two revised versions of national standards involve road and indoor lighting

The revised "Technical Requirements for Application of LED Urban Road Lighting" was proposed by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People's Republic of China, replacing GB/T 31832-2015 "Technical Requirements for Application of LED Urban Lighting". Compared with GB/T 31832-2015, in addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the efficiency limits of LED lamps and the overflow luminous flux ratio limits of LED road lighting lamps have also been modified, and regulations for LED guardrail lights, LED garden lights, LED floodlights and other lamps have been added, as well as regulations on carbon emission calculations for driving power supplies, system integration, and urban road lighting projects.

The revised "Technical Requirements for LED Indoor Lighting Applications" was also proposed by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People's Republic of China, replacing GB/T 31831-2015 "Technical Requirements for LED Indoor Lighting Applications". Compared with GB/T 31831-2015, except in addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the definition of LED light source, specification classification of LED lamps and LED lamps, suggestions for replacing traditional lighting products, and the addition of LED lamps, LED lamps, flicker index, and visual stroboscopic effect have also been modified. The definition of degree adds requirements for carbon footprint accounting of LED lamps and LED lamps, flicker index and stroboscopic effect visibility requirements for LED lamps and LED lamps, light color performance requirements for multi-channel lamps, and LED lamps for farmer's market lighting.

What is more noteworthy is that the revised "Technical Requirements for LED Indoor Lighting Applications" has added and improved the light efficiency (efficiency) requirements of LED lamps and LED lamps, and carefully considered the visual health and photosensitive comfort of users of indoor lighting products.

The revision of the two standards will bring technical guidance for domestic urban road lighting and indoor lighting to keep pace with the times, and have important practical significance for the innovation and high-quality development of the national lighting industry.
