Xinjiang grows disposable vegetables with LED lights

Last year, Xinjiang's first intelligent LED plant factory was put into operation. In this high-tech agricultural base located in the third team of Xinlian Village, Qinggedahu Township, Uzbekistan, only one of the glass greenhouse LED plant factories covering an area of nearly 1 mu can produce LED plants every day. Yields 200 kg of green leafy vegetables. It can be said that the output value of 1 mu of land here is equivalent to the output value of nearly 40 mu of traditionally planted land.

Xinjiang grows disposable vegetables with LED lights

In the field of facility agriculture, this is the first time that Xinjiang has achieved year-round continuous and efficient agricultural production through LED photoelectric agricultural facilities and advanced hydroponic planting technology. At present, the ready-to-eat vegetables produced by this plant factory are already available in the fresh section of some large supermarkets in the capital.

Facility agriculture can use plant factories to provide a place that is not restricted by external climatic conditions and can be engaged in full-time agricultural production. In Xinjiang, seven or eight months of the year are not suitable for plant growth due to cold climate and insufficient light. The most important factor in building a plant factory is LED lighting. Xinjiang is very advantageous in that it has sufficient power resources and reasonable prices, which can enable plant factories to provide vegetables with better quality and more reasonable prices.
