U.S. company Launches First Li-Fi LED Lighting Panel

At this year's Consumer Electronics Show in the United States, VLNComm, the US company, exhibited its first Li-Fi LED lighting panel, the LumiNex lighting panel that offers 108Mbps download speeds and a " LumiStick, "with a domain range of 516 square feet and a general industry standard white LED that supports 15 users online.

Professor Noshad, CEO of VLNComm, said that this is a continuous improvement and a revolutionary development. As technology becomes more mature, Li-Fi can provide higher security and spectrum available. In the future, it will be able to replace or cooperate with Wi-Fi Complement each other.

Li-Fi is optical communication technology. Light can‘t penetrate the wall. The coverage of single luminaire is also limited. However, Li-Fi can’t be compromised by electromagnetic interference or interception, and has higher security than Wi-Fi. In the future Li-Fi technology has potential for growth in hypermarkets, hospitals and even deep sea diving.
