In order to implement the concept of energy saving and emission reduction and promote the construction of green airport, on August 25, Ulanhot Airport carried out a street lamp retrofit test and installed solar panels on street lamps.

Ulanhot Airport installed solar panels for street lights

There are 259 street lights in the airport, which have been used for a long time. In order to reduce power consumption, the power station decided to carry out a street lamp retrofit test and first install solar panels on 5 street lights in the field. This test was carried out on the original street lamp pole, using solar panel LED lamps to convert the light energy absorbed during the day into electric energy and send it to the storage battery for storage. When no light energy is received at night, solar energy replaces traditional electric energy through intelligent control, the device automatically turns on the LED lights.

Compared with the previous traditional lamps, the solar panel LED lamps have stronger brightness at night, a wider range of illumination, and more significant lighting effects. It is reported that if all the street lights of the airport are equipped with solar panel LED lamps, it can save more than 40,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity for the airport a year.
