Street lights are replaced in Xixiu District, Anshun, Guizhou to protect citizens’ travel

In order to improve the quality of the city and create a safer and more convenient travel environment for citizens, starting from November 7, 2023, the Xixiu District Municipal Management Office of Anshun City, Guizhou Province will conduct inspections on Shixi Road, Jianshe Road, Dongshan Road, Xinhe Road and other road sections The problem of insufficient illumination of street lights is dealt with, adhering to the concepts of conservation, energy saving and frugality, and is mainly solved from two aspects.

One is to change the light source. The original high-pressure sodium lamps had shortcomings such as low light efficiency, high energy consumption, and short lifespan, which easily caused a waste of electricity. In response, the Xixiu District Municipal Office replaced the high-pressure sodium lamps as street light sources in the road section with LED lamps with high brightness, low energy consumption, and long lifespan. In order to achieve the effects of improving illumination, energy saving and emission reduction.

The second is to lower the height. Due to the leafy branches on both sides of the street, the street lamp lighting is affected by the obstruction of the leaves. Based on the actual situation of the site, while retaining the landscape effect of the street trees, the height of the blocked street lamp arm is lowered to further improve the lighting effect.

This time, a total of 113 street light sources were repaired and replaced, 52 new light arms were installed, and more than 410 meters of various types of cables were used. The Municipal Affairs Office will further increase inspections and strengthen the repair and maintenance of municipal lighting facilities to ensure the travel safety of the general public and enhance the image of the city.
