The street lights in Tongmu Town, Ankang, Shaanxi Province have a new look

After the New Year, the streets of Tongmu Town Community, Xunyang City, Ankang, Shaanxi Province have quietly changed at night. Brand-new antique street lights are lit up beside the road, illuminating the way for villagers to travel.

"The new street lights are installed, which makes it much more convenient to go out for a walk at night. Come out and see!" For several consecutive nights, Tongmu Community in Tongmu Town seemed to be more lively than usual. After dinner, residents walked and chatted in groups of three or five, and the children played happily on the side, presenting a warm and comfortable scene.

In recent years, due to the smooth progress of the construction of the Xikang High-speed Railway, the street light lines on both sides of the market town and the main road have been damaged. In addition, due to the problems of outdated equipment and untimely maintenance, the night lighting conditions are poor, and it is inconvenient for the people in the area to travel at night. Passing vehicles are cautious, and there are certain safety hazards. This year, in order to effectively solve the problem of safe night travel for the people in the area, Tongmu Town included the installation of street lights in the community in the list of "I do practical things for the people" projects, and promised the villagers: "The street lights must be installed before the New Year to satisfy the people!"

To speed up the installation of street lights in the market town, the Tongmu Town Government actively reported to the higher authorities and strived for 1 million yuan of funds for the road lighting project. Through the overtime installation of the construction workers, 263 new street lights have been installed and put into normal use. The new street lights installed this time adhere to the concept of closely combining lighting design with urban and rural planning. The street light mask uses the red lantern style, and the slogan "Shanshui Tongmu High-speed Railway Town" is printed on the lamp pole. The street lights use advanced photoelectric conversion technology, the light is soft and the endurance is strong, which not only enhances the lighting function, but also beautifies the "appearance" of the countryside, adding a beautiful scenery to the streets of Tongmu Market Town.
