Xi'an Airport Phase III Lighting Station Relocation Project Successfully Concluded
At 4:00 AM on March 29, the final approach lighting circuit of Xi'an Airport's No.0 Lighting Station was successfully relocated, marking the triumphant completion of the most technically challenging and longest-duration airfield construction project during the Phase III expansion-the lighting station relocation and circuit modification initiative.

As the final phase of the airfield lighting system upgrade, the No.0 Lighting Station project involved complex multi-circuit power supply modifications requiring execution without disrupting normal flight operations. The Lighting Station Party Branch of the Airfield Management Department formed a Communist Party Member Vanguard Team integrating "technical expertise, safety assurance, and emergency response," assigning responsibilities with military precision.
Since November 2021, the team conducted:
Dual-verification planning using "OviMap 3D modeling + simulated runway drills"
Contingency preparation with dozens of emergency scenarios rehearsed
Nighttime preparatory work including cable laying and equipment debugging during post-flight hours
The decisive battle occurred from March 22-29, when a specialized task force capitalized on daily 1:00-6:00 AM operational windows to:
Relocate 40 power circuits in batches
Achieve seamless system transition
Maintain strict "construct-inspect-restore within single night" protocols
The newly operational Phase III airfield lighting system features:
Modular design with industrial-grade reliability
Digital twin and AI self-diagnosis capabilities
Enhanced all-weather operational resilience
This advancement propels Xi'an Airport into "full-process digitalization and all-scenario intelligence" for airfield lighting management, accelerating its transformation into a "Four-Star Smart Airport."
