Tianjin Tower Light Show Illuminates the Entire City on Lunar New Year's Eve
On Lunar New Year's Eve of the Year of the Horse, a warm red hue illuminated the night sky of Tianjin! The Tianjin Tower's 2026 "Auspicious Horses Bring Good Fortune" themed light show officially lit up on February 16th, Lunar New Year's Eve, shining brightly from 6 PM until the early hours of Lunar New Year's Day. Eight agile horses, acting as "sky-high blessing officials," accompanied the people of Tianjin in celebrating the New Year.

This Lunar New Year's Eve, the Tianjin Tower's light show adopted a new "alternating playback" rhythm. To ensure that citizens could enjoy both the tower's exclusive Year of the Horse scenery and the city's overall Lunar New Year lighting, the "Auspicious Horses Bring Good Fortune" light show would rotate with the Urban Management Committee's landscape lighting every half hour. A brief stop would offer double the visual feast for the New Year.
As the core of this light show, the "Auspicious Horses Bring Good Fortune" theme perfectly captured the auspicious meaning of the Year of the Horse. In ten illuminated images, eight adorable horses, each carrying a "blessing mission," appear 100 meters in the air, accompanied by puns beloved by Tianjin residents. For wealth, there's "immediate prosperity"; for smooth sailing, there's "immediate good fortune"; for family happiness, "immediate blessings" arrive instantly. There's also the vigor of "horses soaring in the new year," the expectation of "horses leaping high," the drive of "full speed ahead," and even the playful touch of "happiness plus horses," all precisely capturing everyone's beautiful aspirations for the New Year.
