Harbin Highway Safety Illumination Project Fully Completed
Recently, the additional anti-fatigue and anti-fog lighting project for the Beijing-Harbin Expressway and Harbin Ring Expressway, implemented by the Harbin Branch, has been fully completed and officially put into operation. Centered on enhancing road safety resilience, the project systematically adds intelligent optical warning facilities, aiming to build a more reliable and adaptable traffic protection system for harsh weather and complex environments. As night falls, rows of fog flash lights illuminate along the roads, and beams of laser rays cut through dense fog, creating a clear and continuous light barrier for passing vehicles. This significantly improves the proactive protection level of the roads, making high-speed travel on winter nights safer and more reassuring.

Addressing safety challenges with precise planning and deployment. To effectively tackle long-standing risks affecting driving safety, such as severe cold, frequent fog, and low nighttime visibility in Northeast China, the company's leadership team collaborated with traffic police departments to conduct multiple rounds of on-site inspections and scientific evaluations of accident-prone sections and frequent fog-prone areas on the Beijing-Harbin Expressway and Harbin Ring Expressway. Based on the survey data, the company ultimately decided to focus on "safety illumination" as the core approach, systematically installing intelligent optical warning facilities in the aforementioned sections to effectively enhance proactive road protection and nighttime traffic guidance.
Implementing key coverage and leveraging technology for prevention and control. Closely aligned with the goal of improving road safety resilience, this project primarily targeted key areas such as interchange ramps, the Lalin River Bridge, and the Songhua River Bridge on the two expressways, as well as frequent fog-prone sections like K12-K13 on the Ring Expressway. A total of 1,000 fog flash lights, 40 solar-powered warning lights, and 8 high-power laser lights were installed, addressing critical winter driving issues such as "poor visibility and driver fatigue" through technological means.
Enhancing safety efficiency and optimizing travel experience. The newly installed facilities have significantly improved road visibility under foggy and low-visibility nighttime conditions. Through scientific light design and dynamic warning effects, they effectively alleviate visual fatigue for drivers, achieving a simultaneous optimization of safety and driving comfort.
Continuously optimizing services and building safer roads together. The lights along the roads not only illuminate the way but also safeguard the safe journeys of countless travelers. By leveraging professional expertise to fulfill social responsibilities and taking concrete actions to strengthen road safety defenses, the company has earned widespread recognition from all sectors of society. In the next step, the company will continue to enhance the operational monitoring of safety facilities, deepen the collaborative protection mechanism of "technical + human" measures, and promote the safety illumination model in more suitable sections. This will further improve the all-weather, all-section safety assurance capabilities of expressways, contributing professional expertise to building higher-level safe transportation and exploring innovative paths for the branding and intelligent safety system development of expressway maintenance in the province.
