Jining Da'an Airport in Shandong Province Completes Spring Lighting and Power Equipment Maintenance

To proactively address spring's challenging climate, including large temperature swings, frequent thunderstorms, and strong winds, and to ensure the stable and efficient operation of the navigation lighting system, the Lighting and Power Team of the Operations and Support Department of Da'an Airport in Jining, Shandong Province, recently completed its 2025 spring equipment maintenance. Aiming to "eliminate hidden dangers, improve efficiency, and strengthen security," this maintenance effort, through systematic inspections, in-depth maintenance, and emergency drills, provides solid technical support for safe airport operations.

Jining Da'an Airport in Shandong Province Completes Spring Lighting and Power Equipment Maintenance

Precise Deployment, Targeted Inspection of Key Equipment

In light of the unique spring climate, the Lighting and Power Team of the Operations and Support Department developed a "Special Spring Equipment Maintenance Plan" in advance, forming a dedicated team of technical backbones. The team refined the maintenance process based on flight volume fluctuations and historical equipment operation data. Comprehensive inspections focused on key components, including the power supply system, lighting circuits, and monitoring equipment.

Multi-faceted Attacks Ensure Efficient Equipment Operation

The Lighting and Power Team of the Operations and Support Department is working diligently to continuously improve equipment operational stability. First, we conducted in-depth equipment maintenance: dust removal, tightening, and insulation testing were completed for 30 dimming cabinets, switchgear, and other equipment, five aging components were replaced, and two potential hazards were rectified. Second, we conducted precise lighting calibration: 500 sets of lamps, including runway edge and approach lights, underwent elevation adjustment and linearity correction, and replaced damaged color filters to ensure 100% light intensity compliance. Third, we conducted emergency response capability verification: We successfully conducted tests in extreme scenarios, including dual-line mains switching and full-load diesel generator operation, improving power supply stability by 30%.

After comprehensive maintenance, the navigation lighting system maintained a 100% operating rate, and the equipment failure rate decreased by 20% year-over-year, laying a solid foundation for building a "smart lighting" management system. Moving forward, the Lighting and Power Team of the Operations Support Department will continue to improve equipment lifecycle management, utilizing big data analytics for preventive maintenance, and injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of Jining Da'an Airport.
