Kunming Dianchi Resort is making every effort to eliminate blind spots in nighttime lighting

"This road used to be pitch black. I always felt unsafe after my night shift. Now the street lights are on, so I don't have to worry about walking at night anymore."

Recently, residents in residential areas near Kunming Zhongtian Rongyu have noticed changes in the streets. Rongkang Road, Yikang Road, Yongjin Road and Jinhu Road, which used to be pitch black at night, have now become brighter. The nighttime lighting problem that has troubled everyone for many years has finally been solved, and residents have given thumbs up.

In recent years, the Dianchi Resort Management Committee has attached great importance to the rectification of "roads without lights, lights that do not work". The Urban Management Bureau and Planning and Construction Bureau of the Resort have taken active actions and coordinated with multiple parties to continuously promote the rectification and reconstruction of "roads without lights, lights that do not work". The urban lighting restoration project around Zhongtian Rongyu is the key rectification work this time. Since the construction of this area started in 2011, the construction of urban lighting facilities in this area has been imperfect. In addition, the developer's capital chain was broken, resulting in the four roads in this area being in a state of "lights that do not work" for 13 years, which has brought great inconvenience to the lives of surrounding residents. Since May this year, the Urban Management Bureau of Dianchi Resort has corrected the lamp poles, replaced the lamp heads, and installed directional floodlights for the area, making the road lighting facilities look brand new, and strengthened the connection with the municipal competent departments, successfully passed the step-by-step acceptance and third-party professional testing, and finally in less than a month, the "small street lights" in this area were lit up, ensuring the night travel safety of 2,856 residents in 119 buildings in 6 communities.

Street lamps light up the way home for residents and their happy smiles. In the next step, the Dianchi Resort City Management Bureau will continue to promote the rectification of the problem of "roads without lights and lights that are not on" in the area, and strive to eliminate blind spots in nighttime lighting to provide citizens with a safer and more comfortable lighting environment for nighttime travel.
