Lighting Project of Pedestrian Streets in Zhaoqing, Guangdong Officially Put into Operation
Recently, the lighting renovation project for the pedestrian streets on Nanting Road and Guangxin Road, Nan'an Subdistrict, Gaoyao District, Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province, was officially lit up. Stretching around 1.5 kilometers, the old streets are now shimmering with lights. The project has not only lifted the area’s visual appeal, but also fostered a vibrant street atmosphere, adding a striking glow to a popular spot for residents’ leisure and shopping.

As night falls and lights flicker on, reporters wandered through downtown Gaoyao and were greeted by a dazzling glow spanning Nanting Road and Guangxin Road.
Walking along the roughly 1-kilometer food section of Nanting Road, warm yellow street lamps interweave with colorful neon decorations, creating distinct visual layers across the entire food street. During the dinner rush, restaurants lining both sides of the road are bustling with activity. The aroma of food drifts through the air, interspersed with diners’ cheerful laughter, fully showcasing the prosperity and vitality of the night market.
Ms. Du, a local restaurant operator, shared: "I’ve run a catering business on this street for more than a decade and watched Nanting Road grow increasingly beautiful and prosperous. We’ve seen fresh upgrades lately with abundant decorative lighting installed on building facades, which look absolutely gorgeous. There are scenic spots like Golden Beach nearby. After sightseeing, numerous locals and tourists are drawn to this luminous street for late-night snacks, greatly boosting business for all shop owners around here."
