Statistics of LED lighting industry from January to November 2019

Affected by the Sino-U.S. Trade war in 2019, China's LED lighting industry was greatly affected in the first half of the year, and the lighting industry rebounded slightly in the second half of the year. According to statistics from the China Light Industry Information Center, from January to November 2019, the main products of the national lighting manufacturing industry. The output of lamps and lighting devices was 3.93 billion units (sets, units), a decrease of 4.5% year-on-year. In the month of November, the country's total output of lamps and lighting fixtures was 400 million sets (sets, units), a year-on-year increase of 0.3%. From January to November 2019, the operating income of lighting equipment manufacturing enterprises above designated size nationwide was 318.09 billion RMB, a year-on-year decrease of 3.3%; the total profit was 20.55 billion RMN, a year-on-year increase of 8.2%.

Affected by the production of the downstream lighting industry, the output of upstream raw materials has also declined. According to statistics from the China Rare Earth Industry Association, from January to October 2019, the output of LED phosphors and long afterglow phosphors has steadily increased, and the output of three primary color phosphors has declined. Among them, the output of LED phosphor was 415 tons, a year-on-year increase of 24.5%; the output of long afterglow phosphor was 485 tons, a year-on-year increase of 94%; the output of three primary color phosphors was 1,040 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 16.8%.
