Jianshe Avenue (Qingnian Road-Xinhua Road Section) is 860 meters long. For more than ten years, uniform 400-watt high-pressure sodium lamps have been installed on the roads. As time accumulates, the sodium lamp consumes a lot of energy, and the characteristics of the fog-yellow light effect gradually appear, and the light effect needs to be improved urgently.

At the beginning of this year, the Urban Construction Bureau deployed that this section of road, together with 15 lines such as Xinwan 1st Road and Development 2nd Road, has become the focus of the renovation and upgrading of road facilities in Jianghan District.

"At 12 o'clock, the illuminance of 53 street lights along the line, except for the intersection, will change from 250 watts to 125 watts." Ding Hong, the project management office of the Street Light Center, pointed to the street lights on one side. With the arrival of zero o'clock, the reporter saw that, except for the fact that the street lights at the intersection did not change significantly, the street lights on both sides of the straight road slowly dimmed, and the vehicles along the line were not wrong.

The secret of light adjustment comes from the single light controller under the light pole. Ding Hong introduced that the controller is located on the intelligent micro-break panel, which has the function of single lamp control and switch, and can remotely switch the lamp and adjust the conversion power. The computer chip in it can monitor and diagnose the current, voltage, leakage, power and other states of single lamp operation, laying a good hardware foundation for the future upgrade of the multi-functional lamp pole integrated gateway.

It is understood that, according to the analysis of the flow of people and vehicles in the early stage, 50% and 70% of the illumination of this road section is regulated between 0 and 3 o'clock at night respectively. The data shows that, combined with the night illumination adjustment, the nighttime energy consumption is only two-thirds of the original, which has the effect of energy saving and environmental protection.
