Solar streetlights installed along the mountain road in Jinzhu Village, Yudong Subdistrict, Banan District, Chongqing
Recently, the installation of solar streetlights along the mountain road in Jinzhu Village, Yudong Subdistrict, Banan District, Chongqing, was completed. More than 100 new streetlights illuminate the villagers' way home as night falls.

It is understood that the 3.5-kilometer-long mountain road in Jinzhu Village is a vital route for the daily travel of more than 300 households. Due to the long-standing lack of lighting facilities, nighttime travel posed safety hazards, drawing strong complaints from villagers.
Now, this livelihood problem has been solved. The streetlights are now spaced 30 meters apart and are all powered by solar energy. They are not only energy-efficient and environmentally friendly but also automatically adjust their brightness based on ambient light.
Furthermore, compared to traditional streetlights, these solar streetlights are more weather-resistant, easier to maintain, and are expected to save over 40,000 yuan in electricity costs annually, reducing maintenance costs by 60%.
