90 New Solar Streetlights Installed on a Road in Liujia Town, Jinchengjiang District, Hechi, Guangxi
Recently, the lighting upgrade project for the main road from Dandong Village to the town center in Liujia Town, Jinchengjiang District, Hechi City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region has been completed. The 90 newly added solar streetlights have been officially put into use, complementing the existing lights and solving the problem of insufficient illumination from single-sided lighting, thus building a solid safety line for public travel at night.

“Before, the light on just one side was dim, and I always felt worried when riding a bike. Now both sides are much brighter, and I feel much more at ease!” said Wei Rong’ao, a villager who regularly travels between the town center and Dandong Village.Adhering to the principle of “targeted lighting supplementation and quality improvement”, the project installed additional lamps opposite the existing streetlights in a staggered arrangement, which not only eliminated dark areas but also enhanced the appearance of the road lighting. The construction team worked efficiently to meet the schedule and strictly controlled the quality to ensure on-time and high-quality delivery.
This project is a microcosm of Liujia Town’s efforts to upgrade itself as a tourist town. Since 2022, focusing on the concept of “integration of culture and tourism, and linkage between agriculture and tourism”, the town has addressed the demand for nighttime travel, coordinated multiple parties to raise funds, and promoted the town-wide lighting project.Up to now, more than 600 streetlights have been installed on main roads and tourist cycling lanes, achieving full lighting coverage and creating a safe and convenient nighttime lighting environment.
The lighting project has not only brightened the safe travel roads for residents but also illuminated the path of tourism development. According to statistics from major scenic spots in the area, the town received a total of 400,000 tourists in 2025, with comprehensive tourism revenue reaching 10 million yuan.
In the next step, Liujia Town will establish a regular inspection mechanism for streetlights to ensure stable operation of facilities. Meanwhile, based on full-area lighting, the town will improve tourism supporting facilities and continuously upgrade the quality of the tourist town, making lights a nighttime safety barrier and a beautiful landscape showcasing rural revitalization.
